A-2 jacket Bomber Dear – A Tribute to a WWII Legend

Hand-painted aviator jacket, inspired by the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress, “Bomber Dear.” This jacket is a tribute to the brave crews who flew these iconic bombers during World War II.
The jacket features a hand-painted Pin-Up Girl on the back, capturing the essence of the 1940s Nose-Art style.
History: „Bomber Dear“, a specific B-17, was part of the 91st Bomb Group, known as “The Ragged Irregulars,” based at Bassingbourn, England. It flew 24 combat missions in WWII, receiving flak damage seven times. Its first mission was on March 24, 1944, targeting Frankfurt, Germany, and its last mission was on May 29, 1944, when engine problems forced a landing in neutral Sweden, where the airplane and crew were interned.
This jacket is a piece of history, which can be worn.
Patch painted directly onto the flight jacket proudly displays the 232 Bomb Sqd insignia.
